چکیده

Voting is one of the most important activities in a democratic society. In a traditional voting environment voting process sometimes becomes quite inconvenient due to the reluctance of certain voters to visit a polling booth to cast votes besides involving huge social and human resources. The development of computer networks and elaboration of cryptographic techniques facilitate the implementation of electronic voting. In this work we propose a secure electronic voting protocol that is suitable for large scale voting over the Internet. The protocol allows a voter to cast his or her ballot anonymously, by exchanging untraceable yet authentic messages. The e-voting protocol is based on Homomorphic Technology and guarantees eligibility, unreusability, privacy, verifiability and also receipt-freeness, no vote selling and uncoercibility. The scheme can be implemented in a practical environment, since it does not use voting booth or untappable channel, only anonymous channels are applied. The proposed protocol encompasses three distinct phases that of registration phase, voting phase and counting phase involving five parties, the voter, certification centre, authentication server, voting server and a tallying server KeywordsE-voting, Homomorphic Technology, Traditional voting.

Secret Sharing Homomorphism and Secure E-voting

Secure E-voting is a challenging protocol.Several approaches based on homomorphic crypto systems, mix-nets blind signatures are proposed in the literature. But most of them need complicated homomorphic encryption which involves complicated encryption decryption process and key management which is not efficient. In this paper we propose a secure and efficient E-voting scheme based on secret sharin...

Secure Electronic Voting Protocols

This chapter gives a summary of cryptographic e-voting protocols. We start with a motivation and an overview of some aspects of traditional elections. We then outline the security requirements of e-voting and present in detail two approaches to cryptographic e-voting, based on homomorphic encryption and mix networks. We finish the chapter with a list of open problems.

Design and Implementation of Secure Remote e-Voting System Using Homomorphic Encryption

Internet polling also known as “e-voting” became popular in past few years, since it reduces the tallying cost and time, increases the number of voter participation, also reduces the human resources and the traditional work that means less fraud and corruption. In this paper, a remote e-Voting system is designed and implemented using homomorphic encryption. The homomorphic property in ElGamal c...

A homomorphic encryption - based secure electronic voting scheme
